In one of the most significant developments in the Australian marine industry, renowned real estate company the Ray White Group has entered the bustling marine sector with the establishment of Ray White Marine.

The exciting new Ray White Marine operation will tap into the multi-million dollar marine sales industry and will oversee the auction and sale of marinas and marine vessels throughout Australia.
The team at Marina Oceanus brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained from representing major luxury European vessel manufacturers as well as brokerage sales for many high-end clients from around Australia.

There are a growing number of people who are looking to offload vessels, upgrade or downgrade within an acceptable time frame – and now there is an avenue to facilitate this activity.

The Ray White Marine initiative will benefit vendors by marketing and showcasing vessels for sale on a scale that only a national brand could offer.

Andrew Bell and his brother Greg own and operate the Ray White Surfers Paradise Group. This year they are celebrating their 20th year in operation and are the largest real estate company in Queensland with 246 staff operating through a wide range of real estate activities from all forms of residential, prestige homes, project marketing, commercial, industrial, hotels and now newly formed Ray White Marine. They are Ray White’s No.1 Residential & No.1 Commercial sales office international.

Andrew has 39 years experience in the real estate industry first operating a three office group in Sydney and now the largest independently owned real estate group in Queensland. Andrew is regarded as one of Australia’s most experienced and professional auctioneers. With his vast experience Andrew is called upon to speak at many conferences and business groups and having been through five real estate cycles has very clear understanding of the various stages of the real estate cycle.

Mark has been in and around the boating industry for many years and is widely known throughout the Australian marine culture. He has been based at Marina Mirage for the last seven years after moving up from Sydney to establish a new headquarters.

Mark says “The Ray White Marine initiative will revolutionise the industry providing a completely professional platform for marketing, auctioning and brokering of vessels and berths on a scale unseen in Australia.”

The Ray White Group is a family owned business now in its fourth generation. Started from humble beginnings by Ray White, today it continues to expand strongly. Here is our story.

Generation 1
Commencing in a small Queensland country town in 1902, Ray White relocates to Brisbane building a strong business, covering all disciplines of real estate.

Generation 2
Alan White, son of Ray, drives the business to leadership in Brisbane and develops a branch office network throughout Queensland. Queensland itself becomes a significant State in the Commonwealth.

Generation 3
Alan’s sons, Brian and Paul White take the business throughout Australia and New Zealand and adopt the franchising model. A network is commenced in Indonesia. Ray White is now regarded as the market leader.

The Commercial business in Brisbane is reconfigured to become the Queensland member of the Richard Ellis group. The family takes Richard Ellis to Sydney and New Zealand. The Rural business is established, with continuing strong growth.

Generation 4
Five members of the fourth generation broaden the services of the company, utilising the community relations built by the core agency network.

The Richard Ellis businesses are sold to CBRE and Ray White Commercial is recreated with significant momentum.
Our home loans arm, Ray White Financial Services, responsible for arranging mortgages for clients of the Ray White network, grows to become a top five broker in Australasia.
Ray White Invest, offering securitised property products under the ASIC Licence (Australian Government’s Licensing) provides property funds management through property trust investments to clients. This fits perfectly into the broader group and already has a specialised team of more than 30 people.
A Construction business is commenced and is now regarded as a medium sized building supplier in south east Queensland.
Other ancillary services, such as Insurance and Connect (providers of utility connection services) are commenced. We refocus on Property Management to lift the standards throughout the network.

Today
A well integrated blend of family generations, together with an outstanding executive team, is maintaining the family’s obsession to pursue the Group’s potential.

We are now approaching 1,000 offices with a combined staff nearing 8,000. The Group turnover is $25 billion (AUD) per annum.

The new entity is a joint venture between Andrew and Greg Bell, directors of Queensland’s largest real estate firm, the Ray White Surfers Paradise Group, and Marina Oceanus, owners of the exclusive Marina Mirage Marina on the Gold Coast.
